It's the perfect plan!

Well, its partially because they raised the lvl cap without introducing any new areas. So people who are trying to get to 79 have to do it at the same mobs getting less and less exp per lvl, making the grind even worse.

I don't wanna sound like just another noob complaing, but instead of delaying it so slowly, and giving us stuff like this, I wish they would just raise the cap entirely and give us the full content, so those who are hanging on by a finger can decide to let go or not.

I feel the same way as Yosei. It'll get boring to be capped at 59, then 79, then probably 100. Why not just raise it at one go?
Anyway, I have to objections to grinding. Just don't grind too much or you'll be irresponsible for ur health. Have a little fun once a while outside.

Yosei 01-07-2008 03:05 AM

And maybe if they rose the cap to lets say 100, and with no event, people wouldn't rush so much.

I think they still would. But, I have said all along, I dont understand the rush to get there. I have more fun goofing off while grinding than just plain grinding. It seems to make it go by faster if we are goofing off.

Yeah.. I have to atleast have a conversation going on when grinding o.o And I can't stand it when people are like "Stop talking!"
I've even had people that wouldn't let you brb or go afk for a sec, or else they'd just kick you and replace you. Some people take it too seriously.

Spirit 01-07-2008 03:14 AM

That would not work for me. I have to go afk for things, especially when my child calls me. He likes to make little movies on his computer and when he is finished, he wants me to watch them. I would not be able to tell him "no, I cant, I'm grinding." They are usually only 1 minute long because he is also drawing the characters in the movies, so it takes him about an hour and half to make a one minute video. So my parties have to understand when I say afk - brb. My guild is used to it and doesn't mind. I like that, plus they try their best to keep me alive when I go afk. The favor is returned back to them and they know it. So, we all get along real good.

i wouldnt think outspark's aim was to make ppl hv sleepless nights and blood shot eyes with this event... i thought its more like u get a reward for leveling to a certain point 1st... but yeah them ppl took it too seriously and they go kill themselves playing Fiesta...

(sry if anyone said that already coz i only half read this thread)

I guess if ur frds are the grind fest ppl then they're not your type of friends =D Yosei we're catching up slowly so lets be friends! LOL

and there a point about hving the event to keep high levels playing... well if they got to lvl 79 too quickly there's gonna be a huge break between when htye get to lvl 79 and when the cap is raised again.. wouldnt that end up discouraging them to play anyway?

Yosei 01-07-2008 03:36 AM

You guys are my friends =D I've decided to start playing my fighter more. Grinding on my mage is just too boring now.

~1 month of non discouraged gameplay is still better than 0 days of non discouraged gameplay.
